What is a Praline?

A praline is a French confection created in the 17th century using caramel and almonds. French Settlers introduced pralines in New Orleans. In 1727 the Ursulines nuns arrived in New Orleans. The sisters taught young ladies preparing for marriage how to make the delicacy. With the lack of almonds in the region, the pecan became the favored replacement. Soon, the confection spread across the region.

How long does it take to have my order filled?

It takes 24-48 hours to fill your order. Each order is small batched for consistency and flavor. If you are picking up you will be notified when they are ready. Shipping takes 2-3 days from UPS.

How long will pralines last?

Pralines stay fresh for two to three weeks. If you are not going to eat them right away, you can also freeze pralines for up to two months in an airtight freezer bag. Our pralines never contain preservatives. We guarantee you won’t keep them around longer than a week!

What kind of company is Praline Dreams?

Praline Dreams is a small company that hand batches every batch of Pralines. Our pralines are not mass produced and they are never hard and chalky. Pralines should be creamy and dreamy! Praline Dreams decided to get into the market of making pralines because most of the others out there are hard and chalky. A praline should melt on your tongue!
